Feb 18: Jamal Pogues (University Prep High School Grad) defeated Josh Parisian via three round unanimous decision at a UFC Fight Night 219 event held at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV.

In August of last year, Pogues won his fight on Dana White’s Contender Series that earned him a UFC contract. This was the second time Pogues was on the TV series. He also win his first time on the show, but Mr. White did not choose him for a UFC contract.
Pogues graduated from University Prep HIgh School in Victorville and was a member of the varsity basketball team.
Pogues, 27 years old, started training at the Universal Grappling Academy in Victorville at 13 years old. At 17, he moved his training to Joe Stevenson’s Cobra Kia in Victorville. A year and a half ago, he moved to Las Vegas and now trains at Syndicate MMA.
Before turning pro, Pogues earned an amateur record of 8-1 and earned the California State Amateur Championship in 2015.
The event will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The Main Card starts at 4:00 P.M. on ESPN Plus.

Reyes is currently 13 -3 and will face undefeated Trevor Peek who holds a record of 7-0.
Reyes is a graduate of Hesperia High School where he was a three sport athlete competing in football,wrestling and baseball.
Reyes is a former lightweight and welterweight champion for the King of the Cage organization.
Reyes is the owner of Cage Combat Academy in Victorville that features Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, and MMA for ages five and up.
