September 12: Juan Archuleta, a former Sultana High School and Purdue University wrestler defeated Patrick Mix for the Bellator Bantamweight (135lb) Title. Archuleta (24-2) won via 5 round unanimous decision.
September 11: University Prep Graduate and Cobra Kai Fighter, Jamal Pogues (7-3) defeat Tim Hiley via three round unanimous decision at an LFA 91 event held at the Stanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dekota.
August 1: Phelan resident Johnny Munoz lost to Joseph Maness via three round unanimous decison in his UFC debut. The event was UFC Fight Night 173 held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas .

POSTPONED…March 21: California Fight League returns to the SBC Fairgrounds in Victorville feature a Music Festival during the day and 11 MMA bouts at night. Local MMA fighters on the card: Tony Gomez (Cobra Kai) will fight for the 145 CFL title, Juan “Buddah” Rubio (Cobra Kai) will be fighting for the CFL 185 title, Ramona Esparza (Mafra BJJ and American Jujitsu Academy both in Hesperia) will face Michelle Winkhart (White Tiger in Hesperia and Cage Combat Academy in Victorille) in a match up of two locals. Victor Valley High School graduate and former Jackrabbit state qualifier wrestler, Carlos Morales is also on the fight card.
(POSTPONED… Moved to July 12) April 5: Aaron Williams (Cobra Kai) will be defending his title belt and Phelan resident Johnny Munoz will also be defending his title belt at a King of the Cage event held at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA. Jonathan Noriega (Cobra Kai), Adrian Bartee (Cobra Kai), Angel Munoz (Serrano Grad), Carl Culpepper (Hesperia Grad), and Brandon Rivera (Victor Valley Grad) are also on the fight card.
